Tilak Dhari  Singh P.G. College’s  Department of teacher education , established in 1964, is a dynamic and forward-thinking division of TDPG College Jaunpur. The department is equipped with state -of-the-art education including modern classrooms and well-equipped laboratories, to provide pupil teacher with hands-on learning experiences. The dedicated faculty members are highly qualified and experienced, ensuring that pupil teacher receive a quality education. The department also actively promotes research and innovation in the field of education, providing opportunities for students to contribute to the advancement of the discipline. Overall, the T.D.P.G. College Teacher Education Department is committed to nurturing future educators who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values to make a positive impact in the field of education.

Needless to say, the college campus has become a vibrant hub of activities—seminars, debates, cultural events, personality development workshops, society–campus interface programs, and campus–industry interaction sessions—all organized under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).Our college is deeply committed to preserving traditional and moral values while upholding honesty and transparency in every endeavor. To ensure students’ concerns are addressed effectively, I personally take the initiative to redress their grievances. As Principal, I warmly invite all students to approach me directly whenever they face any issues.

At this juncture, I would also like to extend a heartfelt invitation to our esteemed alumni—our golden students—to revisit the campus. The college can scale new heights and gain deeper insights through the active and meaningful support of its alumni.

Born on 29th February, 1872 in a middle class kshattriya family in village Kuddupur, district Jaunpur. Th.Tilak Dhari Singh completed his school education partly in Jaunpur and partly in Semari of Raebareily district of U.P. He did his graduation in 1894 from Canning College of Lucknow University. After graduation he enrolled for law degree in 1895 but owing to the sudden death of his beloved father he discontinued his studies. He was an energetic and promising young man. He came into contact with the leading lawyers of the city of jaunpur and helped the poor and neglected sections of the society in their legal problems. He was always worried to see the condition of the poor and felt that it could be improved only if they are properly educated. He decided to establish an institution of learning meant for the people irrespective of caste and creed With this aim in mind he started an English Middle School in rented premises in the year 1914. The sapling planted then has now grown up as a big Banyan tree.
